Terms of Service

For the purposes of these Terms:

• Account means a unique account created for You to access the Service, using Google Sign-In.
• Company (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our") refers to FridgeTracker.
• Fridge means a virtual "fridge" You create within the Service to track food items, which may be shared with other Users.
• Service refers to the FridgeTracker website, accessible from https://fridgetracker.it.
• User Content means any data You submit to the Service, including but not limited to fridge names, product names, brands, categories, images, quantities and expiration dates.
• You means the individual accessing or using the Service.

To use the Service, You must sign in with a valid Google account. You are responsible for safeguarding access to that account and for all activity that occurs under Your Account.

You must notify Us immediately upon becoming aware of any unauthorized use of Your Account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from Your failure to keep Your Google account secure.

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. By using the Service, You represent that You meet this age requirement.

You may delete Your Account at any time from the Profile section of the Service. Deleting Your Account will remove Your access to the Service in accordance with Our Privacy Policy.

When using the Service, You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, national or international law or regulation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any Fridge, Account or data that does not belong to You.
• Upload content that is offensive, defamatory, or that infringes the intellectual property or other rights of any third party.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable load on the Service's infrastructure, including through automated scraping or excessive requests.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of the Service, except where permitted by applicable law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for any User who violates these Terms.

The Service lets You create a Fridge and invite other Users to share it. If You share a Fridge, all members of that Fridge can view, add, edit and delete the food items, products and other User Content within it. You are responsible for choosing who You share a Fridge with.

You retain ownership of the User Content You submit. By submitting User Content to a shared Fridge, You grant the other members of that Fridge the ability to view and manage it as part of using the Service.

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the User Content You submit, and for making sure it does not infringe on the rights of others.

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to remove any User Content that violates these Terms.

The Service integrates with third-party services that We do not control:

• Google Sign-In, used to authenticate Your Account, subject to Google's own terms of service and privacy policy.
• Open Food Facts, a free, collaborative product database used to automatically retrieve product information (name, brand, category, image) when You scan a barcode. This data is contributed by the public and We do not guarantee its accuracy or completeness.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of these third-party services. Your use of them is subject to their own terms.

The Service is a tool to help You keep track of food items and their expiration dates. It is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

The Service does not verify food safety. Expiration dates, quantities and product details are entered by You or other members of Your Fridge, or retrieved automatically from Open Food Facts, and may be inaccurate, outdated or missing. You remain solely responsible for using Your own judgment when deciding whether food is safe to consume.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Company be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss arising from spoiled food, or loss of profits, arising out of or related to Your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Italian and EU law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

We may suspend or terminate Your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if We reasonably believe You have violated these Terms.

You may stop using the Service and delete Your Account at any time. Upon termination, Your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. If You are a consumer resident in the EU, You may also be entitled to rely on any mandatory protections granted by the law of Your country of residence.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When We do, We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via email and/or a notice on the Service before they take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after any revised Terms take effect constitutes Your acceptance of the new Terms.
